01/05/2006 - Magazine year X - Num 2 - may/sept 2006
Light and with a slightly retro flavour describes this summer edition of THI Magazine. An issue that rides the wave of myths and legends to celebrate but is anything but devoid of concreteness, weighty projects, and realistic looks to the future.
The success of Turin’s recent 2006 Olympic Winter Games, the conviction that tourism still has a lot to offer to all of Italy and to Turin, which is showing that it has made inroads in attracting the attentions of a world public, and the relaxed climate and rhythm that the imminent summer invites, all converged to give a vacation slant to this number.
Holidays to be lived among memories of youthful rides on the Vespa, the ever-popular motor scooter that is celebrating its 60th birthday, in the wake of film stars and movie locations on the occasion of major festivals and shows devoted to the seventh art, amid the luxuries and delights of a summer signed, sealed and delivered by THI. And while our guests are treating themselves to a dip in a pool or a snack on a shady veranda, we will be hard at work shaping the outlines of a new dream that will become a reality in September 2007, when the Company opens the Bentley Hotel in Genoa. Five-star luxury that, twenty years after the closing of the city’s last luxury hotel, will go a long way toward relaunching tourism in the Ligurian capital.
Perhaps less a dream than an ambition, a new point of arrival.
