The wonders of Venice are countless: Piazza San Marco, museums and art galleries, craftsmen’s workshops for glass and paper, and much, much more. The charm given off by Venice can be breathed in just walking along the calli and rii in search of the most out-of-the-way spots.
But the most fascinating way to get to know the city is undoubtedly by a gondola ride. Excursions to the islands of Murano and Burano are also possible. Murano is renowned for its glass works, while Burano features its world-famous lace. Less common itineraries include visits to the flower gardens of historic buildings and boat trips up the mouth of the Po river.
