Luxus. Il piacere della vita nella Roma Imperiale

An exhibition dedicated to the positive value of the concept of luxury, seen as the incentive that leads man towards eternity and perfection. Thanks to loans from internationally prominent museums, the exhibition will be divided into five sections and will offer visitors the possibility to understand the meaning of luxury for the ancients and to admire objects, essences, flavours, jewels and everything referring to the sphere of beauty and joie de vivre.

In this bicentenary year of Charles Darwin’s birth, this exhibition is particularly appropriate because it was in Torino where the first pronouncements in his favour were made: the exhibition is introduced by documents, publications, portraits, instruments, works and installations.
